Pastor Luis
Pastor Luis and his wife, Liala, joined the Gladeview family in the beginning of 2020. He currently serves as the English Pastor and as the Chaplain of Gladeview Christian School. Before coming to our church, Luis served in various areas of ministry since 2011, including young adult and youth ministries.
Stemming from his passion for discipleship, Luis loves to help people grow in their relationship with Christ and deepen their knowledge of the Word. Alongside the pastoral team, he has established a vision to reach our church, our community, and our city for Christ by empowering believers to fulfill the great commission.
Luis was born in Peru and raised in Miami. He and his wife have three children; Lily, Emma, and Evan. He holds two Bachelors of Business Administration from Florida International University and a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Liberty University. Luis received his Master of Divinity in Homiletics from Liberty University in May 2023.
Pastor Jose
Growing up in a family of worship leaders, Pastor Jose began serving in ministry at the age of 10. As he grew and later served as the Youth Leader here at Gladeview Baptist Church, Jose heard God’s call to ministry. While completing his Master of Divinity at Palm Beach Atlantic University, he served in several pastoral positions in Palm Beach County.
Upon finishing seminary, Jose was ordained at Gladeview in 2020, an honor he holds dear from the church where he discovered his calling to ministry. As Jose and his wife, Giselle, served in Palm Beach, God provided the opportunity for Jose to return to Gladeview as a pastor. They are beyond grateful for the opportunity to be back home with their family and church.
Jose was born and raised in Miami, FL in a Cuban household. He and his wife have one child, Caleb. Jose’s passion is to see people find hope and grace in Jesus and help them grow and mature in their faith. In addition to his heart for ministry, Jose loves reading, basketball, creating music, and Cuban food.
Pastor Michael
Michael was born in Cienfuegos, Cuba. He was raised in Washington Heights, New York City. He was a drug addict for many years, and by the providence of God, the gospel of Jesus Christ was preached to him, the Spirit of God regenerated him and set him free from a life of in, death and destruction. Two years after his salvation, God called him to full time ministry. Shortly afterwards, he went to Bob Jones University in Greenville, S.C. He graduated with a Bachelor’s in Pastoral Studies. It was in BJU that he met his wife, Lisa, they have three children and four grandchildren. It was pastoring in his home church, Manhattan Bible Church, that the Lord called him to start a local church in Miami. 37 years ago, Templo Biblico de Miami (TBM) was born with the purpose to reach the local community, our city and beyond with the gospel of Jesus Christ. In 2002, TBM and Gladeview Baptist Church merged to become one congregation. Michael continues to serve as the Senior Pastor. His vision is to preach the gospel to every people, tribe and tongue so that souls may be saved and transformed through the power of the person and work of Jesus Christ. Michael’s passion is to preach the power of the Word, and that every ministry of GBC would be gospel-driven for the glory of God.
